La mejores ideas suelen aparecen en los sueños y ese es el origen de esta sorprendente película. Benoît Delépine, uno de los realizadores, pasó una noche entera con una imagen absolutamente surrealista de uno de los mitos del cine francés, Gérard Depardieu, cabellera al viento conduciendo una vieja Münch Mammuth. Aunque el título nos recuerde un animal prehistórico, en realidad, se refiere al invento de un alemán que en los años 60 decidió instalar un motor de coche dentro de la carrocería de una motocicleta. Y a partir de ese sueño, Gustave Kervern, el otro autor de este largometraje y responsable también de Aaltra, wrote the screenplay for this story. Mammoth is a perfect example of balance between comedy and drama, with impeccable actors, a solid script away from the rock salt to which we are accustomed to its directors, full of humanity, compassion and humor.



Synopsis: Serge, a slaughterhouse worker, has worked since he was sixteen. Now, turned sixty, his greatest desire is to retire. During a visit to arrange the paperwork relating to his pension, he discovers that during his chaotic working life forgot some of their employers, coincidentally, record profits. To get get the money you're entitled, Serge embarks on a journey to the places where he had his first works.
